Racquets: Demonstrating the Difference
11 May 2011
Do you get confused with the minefield of different tennis racquets and technologies available to you today? At Wigmore our racquet specialists are here to help.
Understanding your racquet can make all the difference to your game.
We categorise racquets into three different player types; Beginner/Recreational, Club/Improver and Performance/Tournament.
Game improvement racquets: We’d suggest these for the recreational and improver categories. They can be super lightweight, yet powerful and shock absorbent to protect your arm.
Tournament racquets: are more traditional in their style and require the player to be technically proficient. They are usually heavier frames, designed for feel and control, allowing for powerful play.
Finding the right racquet for you
Choosing a racquet to suit your style and level of play can be difficult, especially if you’re new to the game. Our staff are here to help explain the differences and give you the advantage.
Over 2,000 racquets
We’ll help you find the perfect racquet from our selection of 2,000, all available for you to handle and get a feel for. So you can be 100% confident that with our help you’ve made the right choice from all the latest models.
Demonstrating the difference
You can literally try your racquet before you buy. Because looking and handling a new racquet is one thing, but hitting a ball is another. So feel free to use our in store demonstration room to see how your racquet performs in play.
We want you to feel totally comfortable with your new racquet. Which is why Wigmore Sports offers a ‘racquet demonstration’ programme that lets you take racquets away and play on court to ensure you make the right choice.
Make an informed choice. Wigmore the Racquet Specialists lets you try before you buy, in store and on court.
